trust us. we know best. we know best how to take care of you, we know bist how to give you what we think you need. we got back in september and i thought after seeing the august town halls, i thought, this congress would hit the pause button, hit the reset button, hopefully the rewind button on this health care legislation, but no such luck. we went at it full force. we had a little bit of an extended markup in the energy and commerce committee, where i would suggest to the chairman of the committee, i said august was a rough month for people on both sides of the aisle, even republicans who voted against the bill, people were angry that the bill was being considered and would likely pass. on the democratic side there were a number of town halls that were quite contentious. we foughting -- we thought, i thought, members would welcome the opportunity to sit down and reorganize this. maybe there were some good ideas on the other side. maybe republican members should have been brought into this process and take
